Lincoln Jr. Zebras

Board of Director Bios

 Brian Aguilar - President

I am honored and eager for another fun and meaningful season with Lincoln Jr. Zebras. Our family has proudly called this community home for more than 15 years, and we deeply value the connections, spirit, and support that make Lincoln such a special place. Since 2021, our children have been part of the LJZ program, and watching them grow—both as athletes and as young members of this community—has been an incredible experience.

I’ve had the privilege of serving on the LJZ board since 2022 in various roles, which has allowed me to meet many of you on the sidelines, in the stands, and at practices. Your dedication, energy, and unwavering support for our youth are what make this program truly exceptional.
With that, I would like to take a moment to warmly introduce myself as the 2026 LJZ President. My name is Brian, and I’m excited to continue supporting, collaborating, and building on the strong foundation that makes this organization so impactful for our athletes and families. I look forward to meeting even more Zebra families and continuing to grow together as a community.

We’re proud to call ourselves Zebras—and even prouder to cheer alongside all of you - Go Zebras!

Paul Vanderschrier - Vice President

Erin Lewis - Registrar & Snack Bar Coordinator

Hi! My name is Erin Lewis. This will be our third year having the pleasure of being a part of the Lincoln Jr Zebras. I have 2 boys that play football, and my youngest daughter will start cheer this year as a Mascot. My oldest daughter will be a senior at Lincoln High School. This program has been amazing for my family. The kids have made lifelong friends and have been taught great things to prepare them for high school football. We are super excited to start the new season.

Ashley Gilbertson – Secretary & Parent Volunteer Coordinator

I’ve had the pleasure of being part of the LJZ family since 2020, when my oldest son started his Pee-Wee football journey, then his younger brother wrapped up his first season in 2023!  There are no words to express how valuable this experience has been for my boys, so I felt it necessary to support the organization in any way that I can.  As the Secretary & Parent Volunteer Coordinator, I can commit to regular communication and to be there for all the parents who take time out of their busy lives to make sure our young athletes can continue to thrive and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Blanca Romine - Treasurer

I’m Blanca Romine, Treasurer for the Lincoln Jr. Zebras Football & Cheer program and a proud Jr. Zebras parent. I have three kids in the program — two in football and one in cheer — so this league is a big part of our family life. I’m excited to give back and help support our athletes, families, and coaches while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Go Zebras!

Nick Monson - Football Director

I serve as the Director of Football for the Lincoln Jr. Zebras, leading our program with a focus on long-term development, competitive excellence, and strong community values. I bring a strong passion for football and a deep understanding of the game — from fundamentals to advanced concepts — and I’m committed to guiding the continued growth of our program. My priority is creating a unified football identity grounded in structure, discipline, and consistency across every age level.

My philosophy centers on teaching proper fundamentals, developing speed and agility, and building confident, resilient athletes. I believe championships are earned through preparation and culture — not shortcuts — and I am dedicated to ensuring every player improves each season both on and off the field.

I work closely with our coaches, volunteers, families, and board members to support effective practice planning, strong player development, and smooth game-day operations — all while emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and learning the game the right way. Beyond football, I stress accountability, leadership, and academic responsibility to help prepare our athletes for future opportunities.

My mission is simple: build a program families trust, athletes are proud to represent, and the Lincoln community rallies behind.

Tawny Moyer - Cheer Director

Hey Friends!

As I head into my third year with the program, which has truly become home for my family and myself. I’ve had the opportunity and pleasure to serve as an Assistant Coach, Head Coach, and Assistant Cheer Director, while also having a cheerleader in the program. Having the perspective of both a coach and a parent has deepened my passion for supporting our athletes and building a positive, supportive cheer environment. I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role and continue helping the program grow.

Kasey McElfresh - Director of Public Information & Snack Bar Coordinator

My name is Kasey McElfresh, and this will be my second year serving on the Lincoln Jr. Zebras board and my third year as part of the incredible LJZ family! Being involved with this organization has been such an amazing experience for our family. Watching my daughter grow—not only as a cheerleader, but also in her confidence, happiness, and love for the sport—has been truly rewarding.

The Lincoln Jr. Zebras have given us so much more than a program; they’ve given us lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and a strong sense of community. I am beyond excited for another season with the LJZ family and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Brittany Elmer - Equipment Coordinator

Hi, my name is Brittany Elmer, and this will be my second year with the Junior Zebras. I am very excited to continue being part of such a wonderful program that helps build confidence, structure, and discipline. This program has meant so much to my child, who absolutely fell in love with it during his first year. I truly enjoy watching all of our athletes grow and become the best versions of themselves. Go Zebras!

 Ryan Tornio - Cheer Coordinator

Hello Lincoln! My name is Ryan Tornio. My family and I have lived in Lincoln since 2015. I am new to the LJZ program but I’m not new to the cheer world. After following my oldest daughter through four years of high school cheer, comp, and stunt, we are happy to have our youngest daughter start with the Junior Zebra Stunt program! I’m happy to be here and support the athletes and program in any way I can! We are excited to watch the athletes grow and succeed this season!

Shannon Ahumada - Fundraising Coordinator

Hi! My name is Shannon Ahumada, and I am honored to serve as the Fundraiser Coordinator for the Lincoln Jr. Zebras. My husband and I have proudly called Lincoln home since 2019. When we moved here, we were raising our four children in the Lincoln community, and two of them have since graduated from Lincoln High School. I currently work for Western Placer Unified School District at Lincoln High School while working toward my Special Education teaching credential. Our youngest daughter is a proud Jr. Zebra who participates in sideline cheer, competition cheer, and stunt, which makes this program especially meaningful to our family. I love our Lincoln community and feel grateful for the opportunity to support the LJZ program and it's amazing athletes and families. Go Zebras! ðŸ¦“
